110 Mr. B. Ahern asked the Minister for Justice if she will consider in conjunction with the Minister for Defence a comprehensive joint Garda-Army search, within a specific radius of Moone Village, County Kilkenny to search for a missing person (details supplied). [11935/96]
I have been informed by the Garda authorities that in the course of their investigation into the disappearance of the person in question, the area surrounding Moone village was extensively searched by them with the assistance of civilians and Civil Defence personnel. I have been assured that should the need arise in any situation, the gardaí have no hesitation in requesting the assistance of the Defence Forces.
