Kinsale Harbour Commissioners submitted a number of development proposals for their port for consideration for EU aid under the Operational Programme for Transport 1994-1999.
In the context of the limited funds available under the regional ports measure of this programme and the question of matching funds the board was requested to submit more modest development proposals for their port. On receipt of revised proposals, these will be examined against the criteria for EU aid. Such proposals must also compete for aid with those of other regional port projects.
