Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Lynch — the effects on the work of FÁS community employment schemes of recent changes in the eligibility criteria for such schemes with particular reference to the many artsbased schemes currently in operation and the effects on the employment prospects of those working in the arts; (2) Deputy Shortall — the problem of truck parking in residential areas; (3) Deputy Seán Ryan — the safety of plastic tanks for the storage of heating oil and the regulations, if any, for the installation of such tanks; (4) Deputy Flaherty — the urgent need for a classroom assistant for St. Patrick's national school, Drumcondra, Dublin 9; (5) Deputy Briscoe — the need for special centres for detention of persons on remand; (6) Deputy Hogan — the need for the Minister for Education to intervene immediately to prevent the termination of third level courses organised by Carlow regional technical college at Seville Lodge, Kilkenny, with a view to continuing the availability of third level education in Kilkenny and the participation rate of local students in such courses; (7) Deputy O'Leary — the urgent need for, and the intended size of, the allocation of EU grant aid by the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht towards the construction by the Scartaglin rural development committee of a heritage and cultural centre at Scartaglin, County Kerry; (8) Deputy Ó Cuív — an tábhacht atá ann go gceadófar deontas láithreach do Chumann Peile na bPiarsach i Ros Muc, Contae na Gaillimhe, le cabhair a thabhairt páirc pheile a fhorbairt ar an nGort Mór, Ros Muc; (9) Deputy Brendan Smith — the need for the immediate provision of a new fire station at Dowra, County Cavan; (10) Deputy Mildred Fox — the need to provide a train service to the existing stations at Avoca and Glenealy, County Wicklow; (11) Deputy Callely — the proposed Dublin Port Tunnel, in particular its route and design, and the concerns of the Marino, East Wall and Santry Development Action and Lorcan Estate residents' associations; (12) Deputy Séamus Brennan — the role played by the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications in the ongoing Bord na Móna affair in view of the fact that he and his Department have had almost sole possession of reports on the matter which have been leaked to the media.

The matters raised by Deputies O'Leary, Brendan Smith, Ó Cuív and Séamus Brennan have been selected for discussion.
