Ceist:146 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for the Environment whether he will provide additional finance to complete the upgrading of the roadway from Glengarriff to Castletownbere, County Cork. [14043/96]
Written Answers. - Cork Road Upgrading.
I refer to the reply to Question No. 61 of 22 November 1995. Cork County Council were allocated grants of £650,000 in 1996 for three projects in 1996 on the R572 Glengariff-Castletownbere Road. Road grants have been fully allocated this year and there are no additional moneys available to me from which a further grant could be allocated to any local authority. It will be open to the council to apply for further funding for the road in 1997.
