Vol. 467 No. 7

Written Answers. - Bunclody (Wexford) School.

Hugh Byrne

Ceist:

227 Mr. H. Byrne asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to a request by the FCJ secondary school, Bunclody, County Wexford, for a new building to accommodate an engineering room; if she will agree to sanction this building; if so, when the works will be completed; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [14323/96]

I am aware of the accommodation requirements of FCJ secondary school, Bunclody, County Wexford.

In this regard my Department has approved in principle the provision of a permanent extension for the school, which is to include a number of practical subject areas. This project is at stage 2, outline sketch scheme, of the architectural planning process.
The question of proceeding to construction will be considered in light of available resources on successful completion of the architectural planning process.
