Written Answers. - Kilkenny Schools Repairs.
I am not in a position to say when work will commence on the replacement of windows and resurfacing of the grounds at the school referred to by the Deputy.
My Department has received an application for grant-aid towards the cost of these improvement works and a report in the matter is expected from the local Office of Public Works shortly. When this report is received my Department will consider the application in the light of other priority projects and available financial resources. The school management will be notified of the outcome.

My Department is not in a position to provide grant-aid towards the cost of the various improvement works at the school referred to by the Deputy due to financial constraints. However, these works will be considered again in the light of future capital allocations. The school management were advised of the position.
