Vol. 467 No. 7

Written Answers. - Ramsgrange (Wexford) School.

Hugh Byrne

Ceist:

282 Mr. H. Byrne asked the Minister for Justice if her attention has been drawn to irregularities with finances at Ramsgrange Community School, County Wexford, which caused the board of management to call in the Gardaí to investigate and, that subsequent to investigation, it was discovered that approximately £70,000 was missing and that later a case was taken against a person in relation to the misappropriation of £7,000; if she now proposes to take a case for the remaining £63,000; if not, the reason therefor; her views on whether the pupils of Ramsgrange Community School and all other pupils could read non-action as being acceptable behaviour; the proposals, if any, she has for the recovery of such money; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [14320/96]

The matter raised by the Deputy has been dealt with by the courts and, accordingly, I do not propose to comment further.
