360 Mr. D. Wallace asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the total value of EU grant aid received by his Department during 1995; if he will give a breakdown of this figure by scheme; the total value of grants bestowed by his Department during 1995; the recipient of each such grant valued at £100,000 or greater; and the amount of each grant that is covered by an EU fund. My Department received a total of £1,311 million from the EU in respect of EAGGF Guarantee and Guidance Fund receipts during 1995. Details of the measures, including intervention, covered by these funds, are given in my Department's annual report.
During the year 1995 payments of grants and subsidies by my Department amounted to £1,524 million. These include both fully funded EU scheme payments and grant payments in respect of schemes which are partly or wholly funded by the Exchequer.
With the exception of grant approvals for marketing and processing aid, it is not my Department's policy to disclose details of payments to individual beneficiaries.
