Vol. 467 No. 7

Written Answers. - Horgan's Quay (Cork) Site.

Ivor Callely

Ceist:

411 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the progress, if any, made regarding the CIE Horgan Quay site in Cork; the current use of the site; the history of the site over the past 18 months; the costs associated with the site over the past 18 months; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14102/96]

I have been advised by CIE that the position of the Horgan's Quay site is under review at present as part of a comprehensive examination by the group of its operations and other commercial requirements at Kent railway station, Cork.

During the past 18 months the Horgan's Quay site has remained in use as railway sidings and this is the current position.

I have been advised by CIE that apart from relatively minor site valuation fees, no property development costs have been incurred in respect of the site over the past 18 months.
