Ahern asked the Minister for Health whether his Department notified the health boards regarding medical card holders who have joined the back-to-work scheme, in order that such persons may keep their medical cards for a period of two years, as announced in the 1996 budget; if not, the reason therefor; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
