217 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the proportion of travel and subsistence budget for each region that was expended by field staff, district inspectors and regional staff engaged in inspection of various farm development schemes in 1995 and to date in 1996. [14667/96]
In the operation of the administrative budget system my Department delegates specific budgets for the various operational areas. The farm development and environment schemes had a budget of £900,000 for 1995 and this was fully utilised in implementation of the various schemes. The budget for 1996 is £950,000 and it is anticipated that this will also be fully utilised.
The detailed break-down requested by the Deputy is not readily available but I am arranging to have more detailed information provided for the Deputy in the near future.
