243 Miss M. Wallace asked the Minister for Health the current status of the report of the Review Group on Services for People with a Physical and Sensory Disability; the intended publication date; and the level of discussion he anticipates in respect of its recommendations. [15930/96]
Limerick East): Following a consultative seminar earlier this year with service providers and users the report of the review group was re-drafted.
The review group met on 18 July to discuss the final draft report. A number of amendments is required following that meeting after which the report will be submitted to me. It is my intention to publish it without delay and following publication, to ask health boards to prepare local plans for implementing the report based on a total assessment of needs across the services in their areas.
