327 Mr. Leonard asked the Minister for the Environment the discussions, if any, he has had with the Northern Ireland Roads Authority regarding the traffic holdups on the N2 national primary Dublin/Derry road via Aughnacloy; and the proposals, if any, he has in this regard. [15144/96]
I refer to the reply to Questions Nos. 14 and 92 of 12 December 1995, in which I outlined details of the ongoing contact and co-operation between the road authorities here and those in Northern Ireland.
I understand that the review of plans for the future improvement of the N2 route — referred to in that reply — is almost complete. The development of proposals for further improvement works on this route will be a matter for the individual road authorities under the general supervision of the National Roads Authority.
