900 Mr. H. Byrne asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when the rural world premium will be paid to farmers in non-disadvantaged areas in relation to the package announced by him in December 1995 for sheep farmers. [16119/96]
The formal regulation required to implement the decision in December 1995 for the payment of the special premium to Irish sheep producers in non-disadvantaged areas, was adopted at the meeting of the Council of Agriculture Ministers held earlier this week and it is expected that payment will be made in early August.
