920 Mr. Martin asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the current position in relation to an application from South Coast Community Television for a licence to operate its community television broadcasting service; and when he will grant such a licence. [15328/96]
There are continuing discussions between my Department and South Coast Community Television about the technical details of the south coast system. I have recently appointed independent technical consultants, to assist me in my assessment of the application from South Coast for a licence. They are due to meet South Coast next month and I expect that they will be in a position to report to me on the matter before the end of November.
