962 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for the Marine the specific projects for which EU grant aid has been allocated over the past year for development in the North Western Fisheries Board area; the value of each grant; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15162/96]

The tourism angling measure of the operational programme for tourism provides for total investment of almost £19 million in the development of the tourism angling product in the period to the year 2000. I have already announced some 54 projects, involving total expenditure of almost £7.7 million, under this measure.

Investment of almost £2 million has been approved over the past year in respect of projects in the North Western Regional Fisheries Board region. The details sought in this regard by the Deputy are set out in the following table:
