405 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for Education the amount of finance available for payment in 1996 towards the construction of the proposed new community school in Rathmore, County Kerry; and when the laying of the foundation for this project will commence. [16382/96]
Provision has been made in the 1996 Capital Programme for the construction of a new community school in Rathmore, County Kerry.
The present position is that when the outstanding issues relating to the appointment of a contractor to carry out the works have been resolved, building will commence on the new school. Every effort is being made by the Department to ensure that building will commence as quickly as possible.
