205 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the number of persons employed by him on a full-time, part-time and contract basis for the duration of the Irish Presidency of the EU; the total costs involved in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. There has been no additional recruitment of people on a full-time, part-time or contract basis to my Department for the purposes of the Irish Presidency of the EU, so the cost incurred in this regard is nil. However, the operation of my Department demands that almost all permanent headquarter staff are engaged to a greater or lesser degree on work related to the Irish Presidency of the EU.
