I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Mary Wallace — the failure of the Government to publish a major report on health services for people with disabilities; (2) Deputy Leonard — the collapse of pig slaughtering plants in the Cavan-Monaghan constituency which has resulted in substantial loss of jobs; (3) Deputy Ring — the reason for the removal of a school bus service from students attending Louisburgh secondary school, County Mayo; (4) Deputy Ó Cuív — the policy of the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications on the social and economic importance of access for peripheral regions to efficient and competitive telecommunications services; (5) Deputy McDaid — the present position regarding the extension to Ramelton No. 2 national school at Ramelton, Letterkenny, County Donegal; (6) Deputy Matt Brennan — the decision of Aer Lingus to discontinue its daily commuter flight between Sligo and Dublin; (7) Deputy Tom Kitt — the progress made by the Minister for Enterprise and Employment during his visit to the United States in relation to finding a purchaser for the Semperit plant in Ballyfermot, Dublin; (8) Deputy Séamus Brennan — the plan to shed 800 jobs at Irish Rail and to close two train lines and 21 freight depots; (9) Deputy Frances Fitzgerald — the political situation in Myanmar and the Irish response in the context of the Presidency of the European Union; (10) Deputy O'Rourke — the reasons for the very small numbers of people on the Jobstart and Workplace schemes, both of which have been cited by the Government as its main planks in tackling long-term unemployment; (11) Deputy Broughan — the urgent need to take all necessary steps, including the removal of subsidies and the use of non-European Union crews, to prevent the closure of the Irish Continental Group's sea route from Rosslare to France and the consequential loss of up to four hundred jobs on the northside of Dublin and in Wexford; (12) Deputy O'Malley — the forfeiture or otherwise of bonds given by beef processing companies to the value of £30 million to the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry.
