Written Answers. - Pig Production Units.
The Environmental Protection Agency Act, 1992 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order, 1996 commenced integrated pollution control licensing for new intensive pig rearing activities. The percentage of new units which will require licensing will only become known as licensing operations get under way. Integrated pollution control licensing for established intensive pig rearing activities has not yet been commenced.
