161 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for the Environment the plans, if any, he has to introduce some form of electronic voting at future elections; if so, if computer software capable of giving first count results in all constituencies is being commissioned; and if he will make a statement on the desirability of introducing electronic voting here. I refer to the reply to Question No. 116 of 31 January 1995. It is hoped to finalise the computer programme referred to (which should assist returning officers in conducting election counts) in the coming months.
