Written Answers. - School Maintenance Work.

172 Ms Keogh asked the Minister for Education if she will approve essential maintenance work at a school (details supplied) in County Clare; when she will make a decision on the application made by the school in 1994; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [19101/96]

A report and tender documentation were received from the school's consultant architect concerning remedial work which was required at the school in question.

The post primary building unit of the Department has recently requested the school's architect to submit revised tender documentation. When these details have been submitted and are found to be in order, the project will be progressed.

At this stage, it is not possible to indicate when the proposed works will commence.
