317 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Defence the cost of salaries and incidental expenses of all programme managers, special advisers and other non-established contract staff in his Department for each of the years from 1994 to date in 1996; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19172/96]

The cost of salaries and incidental expenses in respect of these staff for each year since 1994 is as follows:

The salary costs in respect of some of these staff are shared jointly between the Departments of Defence and the Marine reflecting my dual role. The amounts shown represent half the full salary costs, where appropriate.
