Ceist:122 Mr. B. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Defence if his Department is paying ground rent on the grounds at Spike Island and Haulbowline; the amount of ground rent paid per annum; and to whom such rent is paid. [19546/96]

The ownership of Spike Island and Haulbowline is vested in the Minister for Finance and accordingly no ground rents are payable. It should be noted that Spike Island is currently administered by the Department of Justice.
