95 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the likely number of commuters who may travel through Dublin Airport in each of the years from 2006 to 2016, in view of the estimated nine million commuters who are expected to travel through Dublin Airport in 1996. Due to the many variables which could impact on future traffic trends, it is not possible to give any reliable estimate of the traffic throughput at Dublin Airport in the years 2006-2016.
The furthest year for which Aer Rianta consider that any reliable estimate can be made is 2005. A traffic level of approximately 13 million passengers is projected by Aer Rianta for Dublin Airport for that year.
