Ceist:222 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if his Department will make a REP scheme payment to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim. [20276/96]
Written Answers. - Grant Payments.
The REP scheme includes provision for compliance checks prior to the making of second year payments. A compliance check was carried out on the applicant's farm. It was established that his plan contained deficiencies.
The applicant and his planner were advised on 20 September 1996 that it would be necessary to amend the plan in accordance with the REPS specifications and return it to the Department within two months. The amended plan has not been received in my Department to date.

The amount of EU funds paid to farmers from 1973-1996 is shown in the following tables. Payment figures for the period 1973-1986 are not readily available by year and relate to the EU co-financed element only. The payment data shown in 1996 is in respect of the period to 30 September.
