36 Mrs. Geoghegan-Quinn asked the Minister for Finance the date on which he received the Buckley report on consultants' pay; when he intends to publish the report; when the report will go before the Government; and if he will make a statement on his plans for implementation of the report. The report of the Review Body on Higher Remuneration in the Public Sector on the remuneration of Medical Consultants was received by me in February 1996. The report has to be considered by the Government before it is published. I would expect publication to take place by the end of November. The question of implementation of the report will be considered after publication.
