Vol. 471 No. 1

Written Answers. - Divorced Couples Taxation.

Máirín Quill

Ceist:

66 Miss Quill asked the Minister for Finance if he will make a statement on the Government's proposal for taxation of divorce and/or remarried couples in respect of income tax, capital acquisitions tax and probate tax. [20319/96]

The Government's proposals for the taxation of divorced and remarried persons are set out in the Family Law (Divorce) Bill, 1996, which is currently before the Seanad and which is expected back in the Dáil this month.
