34 Miss Harney asked the Minister for Health if the boards of the Tallaght Hospital or the Adelaide Meath, incorporating the National Children's Hospital, has made a recommendation to him regarding the building of a 100 bed private wing at the hospital; if so, if he has made any decision in this respect; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Limerick East): The Department has received a proposal recommending the construction of a 120 bed private facility at Tallaght Hospital. Discussions between representatives of the hospital and officials from the Department are taking place at present. As the discussions are ongoing, no decision has been made on the proposal. I am not, therefore, in a position to make any further comment now on this matter.
