53 Mr. E. Byrne asked the Minister for Justice in view of her response to Parliamentary Question No. 129 of 16 April 1996, if the promised review of a case (details supplied) did in fact take place on 18 October 1996; and if so, the decisions taken. [20688/96]
The person referred to by the Deputy appeared before the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on 18 October 1996 for a further review of sentence. This review took place and the court approved the release on bail of that person. The court ordered a further review to take place on 16 December 1996 and requested that a probation report be made available to the court.
