210 Mr. N. Treacy asked the Minister for Education the reason a project (details supplied) in County Galway has not been sanctioned for commencement; when sanction will be granted; the amount of money allocated in respect of this project; when construction will commence; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department has approved in principle the provision of a permanent extension at the school in question. The project is currently at stage three, developed sketch scheme, of architectural planning. The commencement of construction of the project is dependent on the successful completion of architectural planning and available resources. This is one of a number of projects being considered for inclusion in the 1997 capital programme.
