I wish to make a correction to the Dáil record of 12 November 1996 which arises from my contribution to the debate on the motion of confidence in the Government on that day. In the course of my contribution I named Mr. Barry White, SC, as the counsel who contacted the offices of the Department of Justice, the Attorney General and the Director of Public Prosecutions. I have been in contact with Mr. White who assures me that he did not contact those offices. I accept Mr. White's word and I wish to withdraw my comment of 12 November in that regard. I apologise to him accordingly.
