A total of £230,409.18 was paid to permanent civil servants at the Department of the Taoiseach in respect of overtime in 1995.
In addition to this figure, a total of £10,742.19 was paid to staff employed on a contract basis in 1995. This brings the total cost of overtime in 1995 for both civil servants and contract employees to £241,151.37.
