120 Mr. N. Treacy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason grants have not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway; the date on which payment will issue; the amount of payments to issue; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22351/96]
Following an inspection, the herdowner was deemed to have made an intentional false declaration in his 1995 suckler cow premium and beef cow headage applications. Consequently he was excluded from the suckler cow and cattle headage schemes for two years (1995 and 1996).
He appealed this decision to the headage and premia appeals unit and the appeal will be fully considered when additional information requested from the herdowner is received.
