The information requested by the Deputy is given in the following table.
I approved the allocation of an additional 56 resource posts to second level schools for the 1995-96 school year. These posts were allocated on the basis of information provided by schools in a specially designed application form. Because of the limited number of posts available, it was not possible to allocate posts to all schools which applied. However, three second level schools in County Meath were allocated posts on that occasion, namely, O'Carolan College, Nobber; vocational school, Trim; and Kells community school.
No resource post has been allocated to the following schools in County Meath: St. Patrick's Classical School, Navan; St. Joseph's secondary school, Navan; Loreto Convent, St. Michael's Navan; Scoil Naomh Ioseph, Clochar na Trócaire, Athboy; Eureka secondary school, Kells; Francisan College, Gormanstown; St. Michael's Diocesan, Trim; Scoil Mhuire, Convent of Mercy, Trim; Ashbourne community school; Coláiste Pobail, Ráth Cairn; vocational school, Athboy; St. Peter's College, Dunboyne; Dunshaughlin community college; vocational school, Longwood and St. Oliver's post-primary school, Oldcastle. The position of these schools will be considered when next it is possible to allocate additional resource posts.
