Before dealing with the Order of Business I call on the Tánaiste to make an announcement for the information of the House.
Appointment of Member of Government.
I wish to announce for the information of the Dáil that the Commission, as provided in Article 14.2.1 of the Constitution, having been informed by the Taoiseach that Dáil Éireann had approved the nomination of Deputy Alan Dukes to be a member of the Government yesterday appointed him accordingly. The Taoiseach subsequently assigned the Department of Transport, Energy and Communications to Deputy Dukes.
