48 Mr. H. Byrne asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry in relation to representation of the National Milk Agency and the passing of an amendment by Dáil Éireann to increase consumer representation on the board from one to two, his decision on the number of representative from other groups on the board when the legislation is passed. The National Milk Agency at present consists of five producer representatives, four processor representatives and one represenative each for distributor, retailer and comsumer interest. It is my intention to increase the number of consumer representatives on the agency to two when the time comes to reappoint the agency members in 1997.
