Vol. 472 No. 5

Written Answers. - School Transport.

Ned O'Keeffe

Ceist:

65 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education if she will have arrangements made to have a child (details supplied) with special needs transported to his school in suitable transport; and if her attention has been drawn to the fact that his family is bringing him to school and home every day which is putting a strain on them and their resources. [23559/96]

My attention has been drawn to the case in question.

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that arrangements are being put in place by my Department's transport agent, Bus Éireann, to provide a home pick-up and set-down service for the child in question.
