224 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications if he will publish the names of all the shareholders who hold a 20 per cent stake in Esat Digifone as announced by the Secretary of his Department on 19 April 1996; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23998/96]
Telenor Invest A/S and Esat Telecom Holdings Ltd. own 40 per cent each of Esat Digifone Ltd. The remaining 20 per cent is owned by IIU Nominees Ltd. which has been certified to my Department as being wholly owned by Mr. Dermot Desmond.
The 20 per cent held by IIU Nominees Ltd. is the shareholding which the original shareholders had planned to place with financial investors as announced by the Secretary of my Department on 19 April 1996.
