Order of Business.

Limerick East): It is proposed to take the report from the Select Committee on Legislation and Security on the Criminal Law Bill, 1996; the report from the Select Committee on Finance and General Affairs on the Electoral (Amendment) Bill, 1996; No. 9, motion re Euro-Mediterranean Agreement; No. 3, Dublin Docklands Development Authority Bill, 1996, Order for Second Stage and Second Stage; No. 17, Civil Liability (Amendment) Bill, 1996 — from the Seanad — Order for Report and Report and Final Stages; No. 18, Electoral (Amendment) Bill, 1996, Order for Report and Report and Final Stages; No. 4, Decommissioning Bill, 1996, Order for Second Stage and Second Stage; No. 5, Litter Pollution Bill, 1996, Order for Second Stage and Second Stage. It is also proposed, notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders, that the Dáil shall sit later than 8.30 p.m. tonight and business shall be interrupted not later than 10 p.m.; No. 9 shall be decided without debate; Second Stage of No. 3 shall be taken today and the proceedings thereon, if not previously concluded, shall be brought to a conclusion at 2.15 p.m. today; Report and Final Stages of No. 17 shall be taken today and the proceedings thereon, if not previously concluded, shall be brought to a conclusion after 30 minutes by one question which shall be put by the Chair and which shall, in relation to amendments, include only those set down or accepted by the Minister for Equality and Law Reform; Report and Final Stages of No. 18 shall be taken today and the proceedings thereon, if not previously concluded, shall be brought to a conclusion after 45 minutes by one question which shall be put by the Chair and which shall, in relation to amendments, include only those set down or accepted by the Minister for the Environment; the proceedings on the Second Stage of No. 4 shall be adjourned today upon the conclusion of the speeches of the main spokespersons; and Private Members' Business shall be No. 45, Child Pornography Bill, 1996, Second Stage.

Before dealing with the Order of Business, I propose to deal with a notice of motion under Standing Order 31 from Deputy Michael Smith. I did not observe the Deputy earlier but I now propose to call him and put the items outlined by the Minister to the House later.
