Vol. 473 No. 2

Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

John O'Leary

Ceist:

64 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for the Environment the current position in relation to Barraduff, Scartaglen, Currow and Farranfore new village sewerage schemes in County Kerry. [24767/96]

A preliminary report for the Scartaglen sewerage scheme has been submitted to my Department. A revised preliminary report for the Farranfore sewerage scheme is awaited from Kerry County Council. Additional information in respect of the Barraduff and Currow sewerage schemes has been requested from the council. Given the level of commitments under the water and sewerage programmes, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve the schemes.

John O'Donoghue

Ceist:

65 Mr. O'Donoghue asked the Minister for the Environment the current position regarding Kealafreghane group water scheme, Mastergeehy, Killarney, County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24868/96]

I recently approved group water scheme grants of £6,400 in respect of this scheme.

John O'Donoghue

Ceist:

66 Mr. O'Donoghue asked the Minister for the Environment whether the new sewerage scheme in Killorglin, County Kerry, can be extended to Steelroe; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24869/96]

John O'Donoghue

Ceist:

67 Mr. O'Donoghue asked the Minister for the Environment whether the new sewerage scheme in Killorglin, County Kerry, can be extended to Dunmaniheen. [24870/96]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 66 and 67 together.

My Department has informed Kerry County Council that the proposed extension to Dunmaniheen cannot be approved as it cannot be regarded as a priority having regard to the high level of commitments under the water and sewerage programme. There are no proposals with my Department for an extension of the scheme to Steelroe.

John O'Donoghue

Ceist:

68 Mr. O'Donoghue asked the Minister for the Environment the plans, if any, he has to improve the new sewage treatment plant at Dingle, County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24871/96]

There are no proposals with my Department regarding the Dingle sewage treatment plant.

John O'Donoghue

Ceist:

69 Mr. O'Donoghue asked the Minister for the Environment whether he will provide a public sewerage scheme at Cloghane/Brandon, Tralee, County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24877/96]

There are no proposals with my Department for a sewerage scheme at this location.
