Ceist:345 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education the current position regarding the carrying out of refurbishment works to a national school (details supplied) in County Cork. [1193/97]
Written Answers. - Schools Refurbishment.
The current position regarding the proposed building project at the school to which the Deputy refers, is that my Department is evaluating the tenders received in consultation with the quantity surveyor appointed for the project. It is anticipated that a recommendation on a suitable contractor will be available shortly. When a recommendation is to hand, my Department will be in contact with the school management. My Department advised the school of the position in a letter dated 10 January, 1997.
