464 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for Social Welfare the number of meetings he has had with the managers of the employment exchanges; the outcome of these meetings; and the proposals, if any, he has for the future of these offices. [1163/97]
I am assuming for the purposes of this reply that the Deputy is referring to social welfare branch offices and not to what were formerly known as employment exchanges and are now social welfare local offices.
I have not had any formal meetings with the managers of social welfare branch offices. The position in relation to the future of branch offices, as outlined in my reply to Question No. 166 on 19 December 1996 is unchanged.
