Ceist:165 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Social Welfare the live register estimate utilised when calculating social welfare changes for the forthcoming year; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2626/97]
Written Answers. - Unemployment Figures.
The projected live register figure for 1997 is 262,000. When compared with the average register of around 279,000 for 1996 this is a reduction of 17,000.
