265 Mr. M. Kitt asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when grants will be paid under the flood damage relief scheme, relocation of farmyards; the number of farmers involved; the amount of money to be paid; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4263/97]
My Department's assessment of the 85 applications received under the relocation of farmyards scheme is nearing completion.
Those who are found to be eligible will be visited shortly so as to draw up a schedule of works and to establish the cost. Once this process has been completed the funding, £600,000, will be allocated to the eligible applicants and grants will be paid once the works have been completed to the agreed standard.
