177 Mr. O'Donoghue asked the Minister for Justice the number of crimes recorded by each category in the Laois/Offaly division for each of the years from 1991 to date in 1997; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [5494/97]
I am informed by the Garda authorities that information in relation to the number of indictable offences by category recorded in the LaoighisOffaly division is published in the Garda Commissioner's annual report on crime, copies of which are available in the Oireachtas Library.
Statistics in relation to 1996 and 1997 to date are not yet available.
