170 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for Education if she is replacing one of the representatives of the National Youth Council with another on Léargas; if so, if she will reconsider her proposal and ensure there are two delegates on the board; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Appointments to the board of Léargas — The Exchange Bureau are at the discretion of the Minister for Education. As the Deputy is aware, there is a representative of the National Youth Council of Ireland currently serving on the board.
Given that the remit of Léargas has expanded in recent years, I am anxious to broaden the range of appropriate interests in the composition of the board.
