Ceist:

303 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will give in tabular form and by county the number of applicants, the number of successful applicants, the number of people paid, the amount of money paid out and the number awaiting payment in relation to the control of farmyard pollution scheme, the farm retirement scheme, the dairy hygiene scheme, phase one of the REP scheme and phase two of the REP scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have set out the information available in the following tables. An upgraded computer system for REPS has recently been introduced which has already expedited the processing of payments. However, reporting facilities are still in the development stage and, therefore, a more comprehensive breakdown of participation is not available at present.
