Vol. 477 No. 2

Written Answers - FCA Headquarters.

Declan Bree

Ceist:

326 Mr. Bree asked the Minister for Defence if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the Fifth Field Signals, FCA, Sligo, has been advised by officers from Finner Camp that it must vacate its headquarters immediately; if his attention has further been drawn to the fact that no alternative headquarters have been provided for the unit; if he intends to intervene in order to ensure that adequate facilities are provided for the unit without further delay; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8843/97]

The Department has been advised that the building used by the FCA in Sligo is now deemed unsuitable for military purposes. The matter is at present under examination with a view to obtaining alternative accommodation at the earliest possible date.
