190 Mr. O'Donoghue asked the Minister for Justice when a decision will be made in relation to the application of a person (details supplied) in County Galway for compensation pursuant to the Garda Compensation Acts; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [12207/97]
I have been informed by the Garda authorities that full reports of the incident which gave rise to the application for compensation under the Garda Síochána (Compensation) Acts are awaited and, on receipt of same, the member concerned will be examined by the Garda Surgeon in relation to his application. I will make my decision on the matter on receipt of these reports.
